Michael Ratcliff

originally started running with Train To End Stroke in January 2005. He raised $4800.00 to help with stroke awareness and prevention programs. He participated in TTES in honor of his step father who passed away from a stroke in 2001. Since then Michael has completed 4 full marathons, 4 half marathons as well as multiple 5 and 10K’s. Michael has also placed in his age division in two 5K’s. After running his first marathon in Kona, HI in June 2005 Michael realized that running was going to become an important part of his life. (This of course occurred after the pain of running his first marathon wore off.) He also realized that helping other people achieve their running goals and dreams was important to him and he joined the TTES mentor program. Michael currently helps coach with the “I Know A Guy” racing group and if he isn’t out there running or coaching he can be found behind the viewfinder of his Canon 5D as he is also the team photographer.
